Transit Times for UK-France Removals
Transit time depends on your pickup point, your French destination and whether you choose a dedicated or shared service.
A dedicated vehicle travelling to northern France, such as Calais, Lille or Paris, generally has a shorter transit window than a move to southern France, such as Nice, Marseille or the French Riviera, simply because of the extra driving distance involved.
Shared or groupage services can take longer, since your consignment may be combined with other customers' moves along a shared route. We will always confirm an estimated delivery window as part of your quote, based on your specific pickup and drop-off locations.

French Customs and Post-Brexit Paperwork
Since Brexit, household goods crossing from the UK into France pass through customs. Most people can claim relief on duty and VAT for used personal belongings, provided the paperwork is right. Your Move Manager prepares:
- A full inventory of everything being shipped.
- Your Transfer of Residence (ToR) documentation.
- Evidence of your move and your new French address.
- The customs declarations for EU entry.
