Removals Jobs in Sheerness, Kent
We're hiring removals drivers and operatives at our Sheerness depot. Our crews handle local, UK and European removals for homes and businesses, so no two weeks look the same.
We have three roles open, from experienced Class 1 drivers to apprentices starting out in the trade. Where you have the right attitude, we can provide practical training.
What the Work Involves
All three roles are active, hands-on jobs. Please read the points below before you apply.
Physical work
Carrying furniture, loading and unloading are part of every job.
Varied hours
Hours follow the jobs, including early starts.
Nights away
Some moves need nights away from home where required.
Sheerness depot
You'll need to get to our Sheerness depot reliably.
C+E licence
Class 1 HGV Driver / Removals Operative
Drive our vehicles on UK and European removals and work alongside the crew on every job.
What you'll do
- Drive our vehicles on UK and European removals
- Help the crew with packing, wrapping, carrying furniture, loading and unloading
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and secure every load
- Complete job paperwork
- Look after customers throughout their move
What you'll need
- Category C+E licence
- Current Driver CPC
- Digital tachograph card
- For European work, the appropriate International Driver CPC and travel documents
Removals experience is preferred. We can provide practical training for suitable candidates.
C licence
Class 2 HGV Driver / Removals Operative
Drive our rigid lorries and work as part of the removals crew.
What you'll do
- Drive our rigid lorries
- Pack and protect furniture and property
- Load and unload with the crew
- Carry out vehicle checks
- Give customers a professional, friendly service
What you'll need
- Category C licence
- Current Driver CPC
- Digital tachograph card
Previous removals experience is useful. We're happy to train suitable people with the right attitude.
No experience needed
Apprentice Removals Operative
Learn the removals and storage trade alongside experienced staff, with structured training.
What you'll learn
- Packing and wrapping
- Safe handling
- Loading
- Storage procedures
- Customer service
Who we're looking for
- Reliable and willing to learn
- Works well in a team
- Takes pride in looking after customers' belongings
No previous removals experience is needed. There's scope to progress as your skills and experience develop.
